APC IN OSUN STATE BACKS OUT 48HRS TO LG POLLS IN THE STATE...

The controversy surrounding the judgement of the Appeal court in Osogbo, the capital city of Osun state, has led the opposition party in the state, the APC, to poll out of the LG polls slated for 22nd February 2025. In the words of the publicity secretary, Hon. Alao Kamarudeen, he said , after the judgement of the appeal court in Osogbo to reinstate the council chairmen and councillors of the APC back in their various secretariats, that he personally sees the entire process of hosting the LG polls in the state on saturday by the PDP government as illegal. And so, the APC party and some other parties will not be participating at the LG Polls on saturday in the state, he said categorically. The Osun state political crisis which erupted on Sunday due to the sack of the APC LG chairmen and councillors in the state, is gradually escalating into what the global community should look into, cried out the PDP state chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi. 48hours into the political crisis, the PDP chairman called for world press conference to address what he said the IGP Kayode Egbetokun is responsible for. At the press conference on wednessday in Osogbo, the capital city of Osun state, the the PDP state chairman accused the  Inspector General of police, Kayode Egbetokun that he is responsible for the unrest in the state, due to the fact that governor Ademola Adeleke had a meeting with the CP of Osun state police command and instead of the CP calming down the violent situation in the state secretariats, the IGP instead sent police special force to escort the sacked council chairmen and councillors to regain access back into their different secretariats, he said.  ...
