OSACA POISED TO BENEFIT FROM THE STATE GOVERNMENT, ON AGRICULTURE....Chief Abiodun Adejo.

The starting point of every nation falls against the back drop of security of lives and properties and especially food security for her people. And once these are achieved at  the national and the sub-nationals ( The states), then such nation is on her to serious nationhood.

At the heels of this, the Ondo State Agricultural Commodities Association,  OSACA, deems it fit to align with the SSA  on Agric and Agric Business in the state,  Hon. Rotimi Wemimo Akinsola, after Felicitatingè with him on his appointment as the SSA on Agric and Agric Business in the state.  

Chatting with the  state chairman of OSACA,  Chief Abiodun Adejo,  immediately after their monthly meeting was held  in their Ondo Road office,, where they discussed about issues of importance to the association and how to grow and move the association forward, he was also quick to say, yes, members can only have divergent views to issues raised and discussed at the meeting but at the end of such discussions we will be able to arrive at strong point to move the association forward. 

 Chief Abiodun Adejo, also made it known to E.T.C News that the state government is ploughing 750 hectares of lands for farmers in the state on first come, first serve basis and OSACA as a body is poised to benefit from the benevolence of the state government for their farmers. 

He also said the state government is subsidizing ploughing cost by 25%for every farmer in the state  to further reduce the cost of land preparation and to boost food production in the state..

Rounding off his discussion with E.T.C News, he said OSIAFFA 2024 is going to huge this year because preparations are on already as the organizing committee are working tirelessly to put finishing touches to it. 

Some other associations under the umbrella of OSACA such as National Coconut Producers, Processors  And Marketers Association Of Nigeria,  were also present at the monthly meeting. 

Big questions here now are: The ploughing by the state government, is  it not  suppose to be free for every farmer in the state because the government has the mechanized facilities to actually plough in every state?  Then, why the ploughing cost at all? Or do the real farmers  have such ploughing costs?
