2,000 DEFECT TO THE ZENITH LABOUR PARTY TODAY IN Oka Akoko! THERE ARE ONLY TWO POLITICAL PARTIES IN ONDO STATE, ZLP AND OTHER PARTIES....Hon. Akintoye Cornelius, State Chairman, ZLP.


The Zenith Labour  Party in Ondo State today welcomed 2000 new members who defected from the People Redemption Party ( PRP), into their midst. This event took place in Oka Akoko, the northern part of Ondo state today. It was like a home coming for most of the defected members.


The state  Chairman of the party,  Hon. Akintoye Cornelius was delighted to receive them in Oka Akoko today. The chairman implored them to be more pro active as the gubernatorial race in the state draws closer. 

It was gathered that these defectors defected because they no longer believe in the ideology of their former party, PRP, anymore. And when Efosa Tv Channel News interviewed some of them, they stated same reason.  But when asked further, what to expect in their new party, the Zenith Labour Party,  they all said, we expect to see and experience the true dividends of democracy. 

Other state excos that accompanied the state chairman,  Hon. Akintoye Cornelius to the northern Oka Akoko to receive the defectors from the People Redemption Party were: Mr Yusuf  Rotimi ( State Secretary), Alh. Atoyebi Kayode ( Assistant State Secretary), Mr Lawrence Oyebamiji( State Treasurer), Mr Alalu Maroof ( State P.R.O) and Mrs Grace Ayoko ( State  Women Leader).

Now, the big question is: How prepared is the ZLP in Ondo state to run in the coming November 16th gubernatorial election in the state? Well, Hon. Akintoye Cornelius was quick to say, I can categorically tell you that  the Zenith Labour Party is the only alternative party in Ondo state right now and we are fully on ground to take on the gubernatorial election in Ondo state come November 16th 2024.
