SOLEMNITY OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY..

The 15th of August every year since the 13th century, the catholic church and some other denominations have chosen to celebrate the SOLEMNITY OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY.  

In November 1st of 1950, Pope Pius XII declared the celebration as a Dogma of faith in the catholic church. A divinely revealed Dogma in the universal church ( The catholic church).

The Blessed Virgin Mary is the holy mother of Jesus Christ and she is still the holy mother of God. She was said to be inseparable from her son, Jesus Christ while on earth. She accompanied him on every of his missions in the course of his three years ministry on earth.

Today, the world recognizes her as the holy virgin mother of Jesus Christ.

In the 13th century it became a universal agreement to celebrate the Blessed Virgin Mary's departure from earth, the assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary as a solemnity. 

In addition, the HOLY SPIRIT enlightens the church to celebrate it in unison. The Catholics, The Anglicans ,The Oriental and Eastern churches. 

The assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is referred to as the spiritual and physical departure of her life after her earthly life. Jesus Christ her son ascended  into heaven while she his mother, is assumed into heaven. 
The solemnity of the assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is celebrated in the catholic church today and is a day of obligation for the catholic parishioners globally.

Mother Mary is called the woman with the sun under her feet and the woman with the twelve stars on her head. God himself called her his MOTHER. 

Let the whole world call her BLESSED MOTHER OF GOD because she is the mother of Jesus Christ whom the world claim to know.

Naira Marley, a Nigerian artiste, became the new face of NDLEA  on the  17th of August  2023 as he visited the headquarters of the NDLEA situated in Abuja, the federal capital territory, to campaign and kick against drug abuse and substance abuse. The chairman of the NDLEA, Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa, a one time Lagos state administrator, opened his door to him and his team.
