THE NIGERIAN SENATE CONFIRMED SERVICE CHIEFS TODAY AT THE PLENARY.
The Nigeria Senate which is the upper chamber( Red Chamber) at the national assembly, today, confirmed the new service chiefs' appointments during their plenary session, chaired by the senate president, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
These confirmation came days after Nigerian president, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, wrote the senate on Monday to confirm the service chiefs' appointments.
Security matters in and around the nation, Nigeria, has been a thing of concern to every Nigerian since the era of insecurity became the order of the day in nigeria.
The last administration of president Muhammadu Buhari was said to have failed woefully in tackling insecurity in and around Nigeria as banditary, kidnapping etc were on the increase. But hopefully , with these newly appointed service chiefs who are more or less younger to their predecessors in rank and even in age, security matters will be perceived to be more effective hence.
Now the big question is: What went wrong in times pasts in tackling insecurity in Nigeria? Are nigerians going to expect massive turn around in security matters in Nigeria with the presence of the new security chiefs in the country? Hopefully.
Security is one essential that should be taken seriously in Nigeria because in time pasts, millions of Nigerians have lost millions of lives and properties due to insecurity in the country.
But now hopefully, Nigerians can breathe again knowing that the country will be adequately secured for citizens to move freely at any point in time of the day to their different destinations in and around the country and even to do or transact their businesses from one breathe of the country to another, without fear of losing their lives, properties or goods.
The service chiefs are:
Major General Christopher Musa ( Chief Of Defense Staff)
Major General Taoheed Lagbaja ( Chief Of Army Staff)
Air Vice Marshal Halidu Abubakar ( Chief Of Air Staff)
Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ogala ( Chief Of Naval Staff)
