Labour party, one of the contesters' political parties in the recently concluded general elections in Nigeria appears to be in a state of confusion right now, going by their factional chairmen saga.
Big questions here are: Don't the Labour party know her rightful national chairman? And what is the game plan of Lamidi Apapa in all of these? Is there more to the eyes than the ears can hear? And when Lamidi Apapa said he is going to expose the LP's presidential candidate, Peter Obi, what does he mean by that?
The last pre-hearing presidential election tribunal on Wednesday this week, experienced an uproar by the factional chairmen, Julius Abure and Lamidi Apapa.
Julius Abure claims he is the rightful incumbent national chairman of the Labour Party and on the other hand, Lamidi Apapa claims same, even though a large number of the labour party faithfuls claim they don't know Lamidi Apapa as their national chairman.
Moving forward, the tribunal refused the LP participation at the pre-hearing presidential election on Wednesday. And when interviewed on Channel's Television, Lamidi Apapa said he hopes to be recognized at the next hearing. And so, he appears in court today the 19th of May 2023.
