NATIONAL UNION OF ELECTRICITY EMPLOYEES ( NUEE) CALLS OFF STRIKE ON NATION'S TOTAL BLACKOUT.

The National Union Of Electricity Employees ( NUEE) has decided to call off her proposed nation wide strike.

This came at the heels of the emergency meeting called by the federal government through the ministry of Labour and Employment.

Dr Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment called for an emergency meeting to quickly address the troubling issue of a total black out national wide by NUEE.

Let's recall a day ago, the Transmission Company Of Nigeria was asked to shut down the national grid and all sub stations as a result of embarking on a nation wide strike.

Questions here are: Is Nigeria really generating as much as possible that goes round the country before now? Or is there any differences between what some parts of the country are experiencing before and now?

Fast forward, the proposed nation wide strike has been called of by the union as a tripartite committee was held by the minister, Dr Chris Ngige, to hear out the demands of the union.

Question again is: Has these demands being met?

The secretary general of the union, Joe Ajaero, made this known in a statement that an immediate restoration of power supply to the nation is ongoing now.

Again, the big question is, even as a private sector, why do Nigerians have to go through the slope of black out in some parts of the country? Could this be as a result of Lackedesical attitude or federal government suffering Nigerians on purpose?
